I help people tell their stories.

Hi! I’m Hana, a student designer focusing on branding. I believe that visual design can illuminate a story beyond the spoken (or written) word. My dream job is in restaurant branding — helping to tell the stories behind delicious food and dedicated chefs. Here’s how I’m making that dream come true:

Intern, Wall-to-Wall Studios

Wall-to-Wall Studios is a Brand and Digital Design Agency creating compelling integrated experiences for smart brands. As an intern, I assist with tasks ranging from brand audit research and development to deck design, designing logos, menus, web & print ads, mockups, and a whole lot more. It’s the smartest, wittiest, most entertaining workplace I’ve ever been in, and I’ve loved every second of it.

Designer, Trojan Marketing Group

Trojan Marketing Group works with professional clients to develop and produce a complete marketing campaign. In 2018-19, I worked with Wurstküche, a sausage and beer destination in the Arts District and Venice, with our campaign set to launch in Winter 2019. My main duties as a designer are in creating client-facing presentations and campaign assets, but our whole account is always involved in creative development, research, and production.

Designer, Daily Trojan

The Daily Trojan is an award-winning newspaper at the University of Southern California. As a designer, I create graphics for a multitude of sections in the paper, ranging from content layout to illustrations.

Architecture Intern, AHL

AHL is the largest architecture firm in Hawaii. My experiences in their office ranged from the architectural design of hotel suites and cafés, to the creation of pitch decks and flyers for high profile clients.

PR & Communications, Bokd - Ideation Foundry

Bokd is an app platform for freelancers to find job opportunities suited to their skills and personalities. As an intern, I engage and grow the Bokd member community, perform market research, and create, schedule, and manage compelling content.

University of Southern California, Arts, Business, and the Technology of Innovation, B.S., Minors in Architecture and Marketing

The Iovine and Young Academy exists at the intersection of design, business, technology, and communication. The curriculum provides students with the skills to apply multiple perspectives through collaborative problem solving.

Punahou School, Class of 2017

Punahou School is a private, co-educational, college preparatory school. The curriculum is flexible and engaging, allowing students to pursue individual interests and discover their passions. As a 13+ year student, Punahou has truly been a home to me and has shaped the person I am today.
